What is Fantasy Sports 4 Life?
Fantasy Sports 4 Life, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is the first fantasy sports platform dedicated to one charitable cause. We are a group of forward-thinking, passionate individuals who recognized an innovative way to fill in the gaps in funding for COPD research while at the same time spreading awareness. By targeting dual audiences – fantasy sports enthusiasts and the healthcare community – we seek to use what is becoming the newest national pastime to fund and help solve a global health care problem. While major for-profit companies are using the booming, multi-billion dollar fantasy sports industry in their global marketing mixes to capitalize, our vision is to use fantasy sports for social good.
What is COPD?
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) refers to a group of diseases that cause airflow blockage and breathing-related problems. It includes emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and in some cases asthma. It is the 3rd leading cause of death in the US and the 4th worldwide, yet few people have ever heard of it. Over 24 million Americans are afflicted with COPD; however, more than half remain undiagnosed. COPD research and awareness is grossly underfunded and Fantasy Sports 4 Life aims to change this through the power of fantasy sports.
I don’t play fantasy sports. Is there another way I can get involved?

How do I register for a league?
2015 Fantasy Football registration is now OPEN! Register for a a league here.
Is fantasy sports legal?
Yes. The federal government does not define fantasy sports as gambling, as clearly stated in the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006. Click here for further explanation.
Do you offer cash prizes?
No. All prizes are in-kind donations from our generous corporate sponsors.
I want to be in the same league with my friends. Can we sign up together?
Yes! All you have to do is create a league here. Just make sure to include your league code in each individual’s registration. To register for a league, click here.
Do I need a co-owner?
All participants under the age of 18 (must be 19 in Alabama and Nebraska) are required to have a co-owner of legal age. If you are of legal age, co-owners are optional. However, the minimum age for a co-owner is 13.
Why doesn’t my state show up on the registration form?
Citizens or residents in any of the following states are considered inelgibile to participate in our charitable contests: Arizona; Arkansas; Florida; Hawaii; Kansas; Illinois; Iowa; Louisiana; Montana; North Dakota; Tennessee; Vermont; or Washington. Residents of Puerto Rico are inelgibile as well. For more information, see Section 6 of our Terms of Service.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Fantasy Sports 4 Life is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Click here to review the document.
Will I receive a donation receipt?
Yes. We will both email and mail you an official donation receipt for your records.
Where does my donation go?
100% of the proceeds fund COPD research and awareness. We support organizations including, but not limited to, the COPD Foundation, National Health Lung and Blood Institute, American Lung Association, and WIPE Diseases.
How do I know the funds from my donation will be used for the purposes stated?
Our operating costs are funded by in-kind donations from our generous sponsors, so 100% of your donation will fund COPD research and awareness.
How secure is my donation?
All donations are securely processed through PayPal. More than 100 million active users trust their financial information to PayPal. They host the payment page and handle the PCI and CISP compliance and automatic fraud screening. That means you don’t have to worry about protecting or securely transmitting payment information.
